Different metals react differently to stress. We adjust our process based on the material properties:

Aluminum (5052) Excellent formability. We bend tight radii without cracking.
Aluminum (6061-T6) Brittle; prone to cracking. We use larger bend radii and bend across the grain to prevent failure.
Stainless Steel (304/316) High "Spring-back" (material tries to return to flat). Our CNC machines automatically over-bend to compensate for spring-back.
Carbon Steel (SPCC/Q235) Predictable and consistent. Ideal for high-volume brackets and structural frames.
